Venetian Causeway
The toll plaza on the causeway in the trailer is Miami's real Venetian Causeway toll plaza, on Biscayne Boulevard between Downtown Miami and Miami Beach. The match is unusually precise: four lanes under a tiled roof, arches on stuccoed piers, the same signage on the same side, and a bike lane where the game puts one.

How confident are we?
The toll plaza is redrawn to the detail: four lanes under a tiled roof, arches on stuccoed piers, the same lane signage.
The Venetian Causeway is the oldest road connection between the mainland and Miami Beach, opened in 1928 and extended north in the 1930s. The 1930s section carries the toll plaza, which is still an operating SunPass barrier and still charges a few dollars for the crossing.
The detail that proves it
The game does not rename the toll system, it re-brands it. The real toll authority is Florida's SunPass; the game's equivalent is set in the same typeface with a sun standing in for the divider. Roadside signage, the booth design, the lane count and the DO NOT STOP boards are all reproduced. Fan mapping projects place the plaza precisely, and the coordinates are publicly documented.

Why the causeway matters more than the plaza
The causeway is the drive that puts the skyline in front of you. It is the standard Miami approach shot, the one every visitor's first photo attempts, and it is the road that makes the relationship between Downtown Miami and Miami Beach legible: two separate cities on two separate islands, joined by a road over the water.
Crossing it on the tour
Our routes cross the causeway with the windows down. On the small-group tour it is stop three, with an optional drone shot on the causeway if you have booked the aerial add-on, and on the private convertible and Jeep routes it is the golden-hour photo stop.
One-way streets downtown
Downtown Miami has a signed one-way system that catches visitors out constantly, and the causeway feeds straight into it. Follow the signs rather than your phone's straight line, and expect the trip from the causeway into Brickell to take longer than the map suggests.
Where it sits on our route
Stop three on the Miami Vice City small-group tour, and the golden-hour stop on both private routes. It is also on the way out to the boat tour's meeting point at Bayside Marina, which is why we can get the skyline reflection from the water so easily.
The other bridges
The Venetian is one of four road connections between the mainland and Miami Beach, and the difference between them is the whole character of the city: the causeway goes over the middle of the bay with the skyline dead ahead, the MacArthur goes further north past the mansions, and the bridges at the south end take you through Bal Harbour and Surfside. The game picks the one with the best photograph.
Frequently asked questions
Is the causeway toll plaza in GTA 6 the Venetian Causeway?
Yes. The four-lane plaza under the tiled roof, the arches on the stuccoed piers and the lane signage all match the real Venetian Causeway toll plaza in Miami, and the community has published the exact coordinates.
How much is the toll?
The real Venetian Causeway toll is around $3.25 with a SunPass transponder, and higher without one. It is a few dollars either way, and most rental cars include the transponder as a service.
Is it worth stopping on the causeway?
It is the single best approach shot in Miami, and on the small-group tour it is a formal stop. On the private routes it is the golden-hour photo stop.
